13 of which I will be working. On a Monday. The week of Christmas. Ugh. I wish I could go back to my high school self and tell me to enjoy not having a job and so much free time. Have one of the most beautiful Supras (imo) ever built for your troubles!
Also past me, do not to trade the 3KGT for a Supra should I (you) ever get the chance! It's not the best idea ever but that's a different story I don't have time for.

It's funny that you say so since 3000GTs aren't the most loved, or flawless, of Japanese sports cars.

Join the club my friend, I have been at work for 6 hours already, and will be for 6 to 8 more... and have three days off since November 24th. It's almost over though... I can just about taste the freedom...

Hey I'm in High school and am working every day this week!
Today, Tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are 2pm-9pm
Christmas is 7am-4pm
Sunday is 9am-3pm

I love the 3000GT. I dearly miss my VR-4.
It had it's issues, but by the time I was done with it, it was a beauty. New paint, mint interior, no driving issues and a rebuilt transmission. Slightly bigger turbos and a nice exhaust. The car was an absolute blast.
I traded it for a MK3 Supra and some cash. Turns out the Supra was a total lemon and the guy I traded from gave me totally fake info. Had to fight the DMV for an actual title, took forever to register it, had to rewire the whole car twice. It went through 4 head gaskets, two engines, three transmissions and still doesn't run right. The longest it ever ran without dying was about 5 months.
The majority of the time I owned it, it sat in my parents driveway being worked on with me pouring way, way too much money into it. I always dreamed of tearing it down to the bare chassis and doing a full restoration/build but never had the time or money. As such it was never done 100% properly and failed to like me.
The Supra has been nothing but a sore in my side. I never had an issue with my VR-4, and I want it back. :(

Then again, I also love the 80s/90s Japanese sports coupes. I drool over 3KGTs every time I see them and would give up a kidney for a mint condition Starion.
Best era of Japanese sports cars imo.

That bites, I'm sorry.
I wasn't allowed to work until my senior year of high school because my parents wanted me to focus on my grades. Even in my senior year I was only allowed to work 15 hours a week and had to take certain days off by my parents rules.
Your work schedule sounds similar to mine. Today, tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are 8am to 10pm. Christmas is 10am to 8pm. I strangely have the day after Christmas off, but not Christmas.
Best of luck to you! Enjoy the money and being young. You grow up quicker than you think and will miss it.

I too am working a 9 hour shift today, although, unlike you, 50% of my clients are already closed for the holiday, and the other 50% think that we are closed for the holiday, so today will be one big waste of time for me.

I really like the 3000GT's design, but that's about it. Although a modded one with some weight stripped off would be killer.
